A couple more firsts for the season.

Today the movement of birds was much smaller than earlier this week.  A little after 9, it started to snow.  There were some first of the season species though, which were 2 Common Loons & a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.  In the near future, we should see some days with many individuals of either of these species.  This morning’s list can be found here… https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S43425396

Update: Due to the fact that the precipitation had stopped for a while, I went back up to the tower for a while.  The best highlight though would have to be a female Pileated Woodpecker that flew into and across the blowout multiple times.  Here is the list from the later morning today… https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S43431943
